Day (1) Yangon Arrival by morning flight
Arrive Yangon airport by morning flight. Meet and welcome at the airport by
our Green Palace experienced guide. On way to hotel, visit Mindama Hill where
the world biggest white marble Buddha Image is situated and also to see the (3)
white elephants. Your Journey begins with an afternoon tour through Yangon's
colonial-style city center. Visit SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years ago;
the magnificent reclining Buddha at CHAUK HTAT GYI; and after a photo stop at
the KARAWEIK HALL, a 'hamsa-bird-shaped' floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal)
Lake, stroll through the BOGYOKE (SCOTTS) MARKET with hundreds of food, clothes,
handicrafts and gems stores, Complete your first day in Myanmar with an extended
visit to one of the world's most spectacular monuments, the SHWEDAGON PAGODA.
Lunch and dinner to own account.
Overnight stay at Dusit Inya Lake Hotel (5*), Grand Plaza Park Royal Hotel (5*),
Traders Hotel (5*), Sedona Hotel (5*) or similar etc; in Yangon.
Day (2) Yangon - Bago - Kyaik Hti Yoe (by car)
After breakfast drive to Bago which is 80 km far from Yangon. Arrive Bago in
the morning. Visit to Kyaik Pun (Four Sisters) Pagoda, Shwe Thar Hlaung, Ma Ha
Zedi Pagoda, Ka Hlyar Ni Ordaining Hall, Kan Baw Za Tha Di Old Palace, now
excavated and Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda. Then proceed to Kim Pun Camp, 106 km from
Bago, the basic foot hill camp of Kyaik Hti Yoe mountain range. On way to base
camp lunch at local restaurant near the town of Kyaik Hto. Then climb up to
Ya-The-Taung, a sub-camp by light truck. Continue climbing from Ya-The-Taung to
hill top by foot which is about 1.5km far from and about one hour walk on the
hill top, transfer to hotel. And then visit to Kyaik Hti Yoe (Golden Rock)
Pagoda within 300 meters walking distance from the hotel, Kyikan Bazat (Crow's
mouth) Cave and take photographs, a market place for shopping and strolling.
Dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (3) Kyaik Hti Yoe - Yangon (by car)
After breakfast, morning short trekking to the pagoda and its vicinity and
small hills. Then climb down to Ya-The-Taung sub-base camp by foot and from
Ya-The-Taung to Kinpun base camp at the foot hill by light truck. Drive back to
Yangon. Lunch on the way. On way to Yangon, visit Shwe Nyaung Pin Nat (Worship
centre of spiritual being live in banyan tree) and Htauk Kyant War Cemetery.
Arrive Yangon in the late evening. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the
hotel.
Day (4) Yangon - Bagan (Nyaung Oo) (by flight)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for domestic flight
to BAGAN. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After a stroll through the
colorful local Nyaung Oo Market continue the day with visits to the most
significant pagodas the temples of Bagan including SHWEZIGON PAGODA, built by
King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; KU BYANUK GYI, a
temple with superb murals of Jataka scenes; ANANDA TEMPLE, with four standing
Buddha images.
After lunch, visit one of Myanmar's most treasured handicrafts, a lacquer ware
craftsmen's workshop in nearby MYINKABA village. You will continue to MNUHA
TEMPLE, built in the Mon-style in 1059 and follow on to NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique
sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha. Next you will
explore the MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI TEMPLE, a temple noteworthy for its mural
paintings under the protection of UNESCO. The ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM is also
visited to view the beautiful Buddha images of bronze, stone and lacquer.
Proceed to BUPAYA PAGODA or MINGALA ZEDI STUPA to watch the sunset over the
famous Ayeyarwaddy River.
Dinner at a riverside restaurant and overnight stay t Bagan Hotel or Thazin
Garden Hotel (3*) or similar in Bagan.
Day (5) Bagan sightseeing (by car)
After breakfast, morning visit to Tharapa Old Gate, Damayangyi Temple, the
biggest volume in Bangan, SularMuni Temple Myinkaba villages to see village
lives and Alodaw- Pyae Pagoda and monastery. Lunch at local restaurant. After
lunch visit to lacquer ware and handicraft shops and workshop. And then proceed
to Bagan Archaeological Museum. Then proceed to Phwar Saw Village to see native
lives and, Dinner at Myanma traditional culture show and dance at local
restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (6) Bagan- Salay- Mt. Popa - Bagan (by car)
After breakfast, morning drive to Salay where you can observe Yoke Sone (Youpson)
Kyaung, the oldest surviving wooden monastery hall bearing the original
120-year-old sculptures, which include nearly three dimensional carvings of 19th
century court life, Jatakas and Ramayana Tales. Lunch at local restaurant. After
lunch, proceed to Mt. Popa, the core of an extinct volcano last active 25,000
years ago, known as the Mt Olympus' of Myanmar, the abode of Myanmar's most
powerful Nats, the most important nat worship centre. Enjoy the sunset from Mt.
Popa, Return to Bagan. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (7) Bagan- Mandalay (by boat)
After breakfast, morning transfer to jetty for upstream cruise to Mandalay.
Following Rudyard Kipling's Road to Mandalay poem enjoy the natural scenic
beauty and of numerous town and village liver along Ayeyarwaddy River. Arrive
Mandalay in the evening and transfer to hotel. Lunch on the boat and dinner at
local restaurant in Mandalay. O/N at the hotel.
Day (8) Mandalay Sightseeing (by car)
After breakfast, morning sightseeing will include visit to Mahamuni Image
covered with very thick layer of pure gold leaves weighing between 3-5 tons on
the body except face, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Oak Kyaung, a brick and stucco
monastery. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch visit to Zey-gyo-daw Market,
Mandalay's famous and biggest market, Golden palace (ex palace of former Myanmar
kings newly built as the original style and design), Atumashi (the unrivalled)
Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda know as the world biggest book with the collection of
729 stone slabs on which are inscribed the whole of Buddhist scripture at the
foot of Mandalay Hill, then climb up to the Mandalay Hill Top to see sunset on
the Ayeyawaddy River and Mandalay city view. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N
at the hotel.
Day (9) Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay (by boat & car)
After breakfast morning boat trip to Mingun, just 12km on the west bank
upstream from Mandalay. Upon arrival, visit Pondaw Paya, a five meter high
working model for gigantic structure; Settawya Paya, the vaulted shrine with a
footprint of the Buddha; Mingun Pahtotagyi Paya, one of the world's largest
chides built by Bodaw Paya; the World renowned ringing, Mingun bell weighing 90
tons; Hsinbyume Paya, a representation of the Sulamani Paya which stands atop
Mt. Meru. Return to Mandalay. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon sightseeing
includes Shwe Inbin Monastery, one of the rare specimens of typical Myanmar
architecture; and Tapestry Workshop. Shwenandaw Kyaung or Golden Palace
Monastery, a superb traditional wooden building; continue to Marble carving and
Bronze carving workshops. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the Hotel.
Day (10) Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin - Mandalay (by car)
After breakfast, morning drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, a hill resort town over
1,000 meters high on the Shan plateau about 60 km far from Mandalay. After
arriving Pyin Oo Lwin, transfer to hotel. After a short rest, visit to Botanical
Garden, Pyin Oo Lwin market and colonial buildings, lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch proceed to Peik Chim Myaung cave and water falls about 18 km far
from Pyin Oo Lwin. See the wonder of the cave. Return to Mandalay. Arrive
Mandalay in the late evening. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (11) Mandalay - Kyaing Tong (by flight)
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Kyaing Tong. Arrive Kyaing
Tone in the late morning. Transfer to hotel. Take a short rest and lunch at the
hotel. Afternoon sightseeing includes Thit-tapin Taung, the 245 years old
DIEFERO CAPUS TREE planted by King Alaung Phaya, the founder of third Myanmar
Dynasty, Shan lacquer ware workshop, the beautiful Naung-Tong lake and Mahamuni
Pagoda, housing Mandalay style Buddha Image and near by monastery where the
monks learn Khun language which is very similar to that in northern Thailand.
Dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (12) Kyaing Tong and surrounding
After breakfast, full day sightseeing to Pin Tauk area. Lush mixed monsoon
forest with a view to the plain tree fields looking a huge, green patchwork
blanked shimmering in the water of the flooded paddy fields. The guide will
introduce you to the villagers of Akha and Enn tribes. Some are baptized, some
tribes still animists. The Enn tribes live on the higher slopes surroundings Pin
Tauk area. They have distinctively different costumes and beliefs from the other
tribes. Their traditional silver jeweler is most elegant against their simple
black jackets. In the Enn village of Nin Lin Min, there is a symbolic tether
post representing their and ancestors' beliefs in spiritual-beings. Lunch at
local restaurant. Come back to Kyaing Tong in the late afternoon. Dinner O/N at
the hotel.
Day (13) Kyaing Tong and surrounding
After breakfast, morning visit to Water Buffalo Market and Central Market.
Then take the car about 50 minutes and trek about 1hours to arrive Ho Kyin
Village, typical Akha Village. From here continue for another 30 minutes to Nan
Phi Phank Akha village and to Pang Ma Phai Akah tribe village to learn more
about their daily life. Come back to the car to go Mong Zine (Khun Village) to
see traditional Lahu Knives made by Lahu Blacksmith. Lunch at local restaurant.
On the way back to hotel visit Joe Phyu, "Wa Village". Dinner and O/N at the
hotel.
Day (14) Kyaing Tong - (Heho) Pindaya (by flight & car)
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Arrive Heho in the
late morning then proceed to Pindaya which is 83 km far. Transfer to hotel.
Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Magnificent Pindaya Cave well
known for its countless Buddha Images placed there by pilgrim over many
centuries ago. Dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (15) Pindaya - Kalaw (by car)
After breakfast excursion to Pindaya Market and the amazing Shan Paper
making and Bamboo umbrealla and bamboo hat making workshop. Then proceed to
Kalaw, a hill resort town on the Shan Plateau which is 64 km far. Arrive Kalaw
in the noon. Transfer to hotel. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon sightseeing
around Kalaw. Dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (16) Kalaw - Inle (by car)
After breakfast visit Kalaw Market then proceed to the town of Nyaung Shwe,
a town on the edge of the lake Inle. Then transfer to hotel. Lunch at local
restaurant. After lunch, afternoon sightseeing on the lake of boat to floating
villages and gardens. Dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (17) Inle Lake Sightseeing (by boat)
After breakfast, sightseeing start by boat to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, where
sacred and almost shapeless Buddha Image are housed, to one village which turn
for 5 day rotation market, floating village of Heya Ywama and weaving village of
Inpawkon. Lunch at a floating village. After lunch visit Nga-phe Chaung
Monastery better known as jumping cat monastery for its wonder of trained cats,
other floating gardens and canals. To see native's method of rowing by leg,
method of fishing, Shan shoulders bag weaving workshop in Nan Pan village on the
lake. Dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (18) Inle Lake Sightseeing (by boat)
After breakfast, visit by boat to Intain village. Lunch there. After lunch
drive back and round the lake by boat from one floating village to another, one
floating garden to another and one floating canal to another. Dinner and O/N at
the hotel.
Day (19) Inle Lake (Heho) - Yangon - Sittwe (by flight)
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Sittwe via Yangon. Arrive
Sittwe in the afternoon. Transfer to hotel and after a short rest, lunch at
local restaurant. After lunch, visit to Lawka Mar Razein Pagoda and Sittwe
Market, Sittwe Port and View Point. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the
hotel.
Day (20) Sittwe - Mrauk U (by boat)
After breakfast, transfer to jetty for boat ride to Mrauk U. Arrive Mrauk U
in the late morning, transfer to hotel. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit
to Weithali (Vesali), founded in the 4th century. Sightseeing includes the
Ruined City's Walls; Defensive Moat; Central Palace and the Great Image of
Sutaung Pyae, a 5 meter seated Buddha which is said to have been carved out of
one piece of rock. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (21) Mrauk U Sightseeing (by car)
After breakfast, morning visit to Mrauk U Market, and proceed to Kyauktaw
and visit Mahamuni Buddha Image, according to legend the original site of
Mandalay's famous bronze Buddha image. Return to Mrauk U. Lunch at local
restaurant. After lunch visit the Museum which houses ancient stone slabs with
inscriptions and an interesting collection of Rakhine-style Buddha images.
Continue to visit most famous Shit-thaung Pagoda, shrine of 80,000 holy Buddha
images. Visit Andaw Pagoda, an eight sided monument, Dukkantnein "ordination
hall", a construction of literate and sandstone bricks. Enjoy sunset at
Shwetaung from where there is a good view over Mrauk U. Dinner at local
restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (22) Mrauk U - Sittwe - Ngapali (Thandwe) (by boat & flight)
After breakfast transfer to jetty for boat ride to Sittwe. Arrive Sittwe in
the late morning. Lunch at Sittwe. After lunch transfer to airport for flight to
Thandwe (Ngapali). Arrive Thandwe airport and transfer to hotel at Ngapali Beach
about 1.5 km far from the airport. Leisure at Ngapali Beach. Dinner and O/N at
the hotel.
Day (23) Ngapali beach
After breakfast, leisure at the beach. Lunch, dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (24) Ngapali beach
After breakfast, leisure at the beach. Lunch, dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (25) Ngapali beach
After breakfast, leisure at the beach. Lunch, dinner and O/N at the hotel.
Day (26) Ngapali (Thandwe) - Yangon (by flight)
After breakfast, visit to the town of Thandwe about 18km far from the beach.
Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, return back and transfer to airport for
return flight to Yangon. Arrive Yangon in the evening and transfer to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (27) Yangon Sightseeing (by car)
After breakfast, visit Chauk Htut Gyi Reclining Buddha Image, Kaba Aye
(World Peace) Pagoda, Tooth relic Pagoda and Gem Museum. Lunch at local
restaurant. After lunch, visit Yangon's famous Bogyoke Aung San Market and China
town for shopping and strolling. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the
hotel.
Day (28) Yangon departure by morning flight
After breakfast, transfer to airport for morning departure flight.
